Alex & Sammy wants YOU!!!!!  That’s right, we are looking for staff members to help grow Lindy Hop Swing in Hong Kong and also be a part of our team.  You’ll learn about how we grow dance scenes as well as develop dancers.  There are only 5 coveted positions that we are training for right now but we’re looking to expand more.  If you’re interested, send us an e-mail past the break!

Positions:

1.  Marketing Specialist – We are looking for 2 people that can be marketing specialists.  If you’re creative, great with people, and comfortable being the front line of any event, this is a great place to hone your marketing skills and really develop something from the ground up.  If you’re a student and interested in doing business, this is a great extra-curricular activity that will add greatly to your resume.  We will train you to market locally and internationally as well as maintain that market.

2.  DeeJay/Event Planner – We are looking for 1 DeeJay/Event Planner.  If you’re creative, musical, a great organizer, and also have an eye for the spectacular, this position is a great place to get your feet wet in the world of Event Planning.  You’ll be working with some of the world’s best Lindy Hoppers as well as entertainment artists.  It’s a great place to start from the ground up and we will train you to handle events from an owner’s perspective.

3.  Public Relations Specialist – We are looking for 2 PR Specialists.  If you’re looking to get started in the world of PR, this is a great opportunity.  You should be creative, great with people, and be comfortable selling ideas over the phone.  You’ll be dealing with multiple publications, television, and events worldwide to strengthen our ties with the rest of the world.  We’ll train you to think proactively and be able to swim your way through the PR world.

1.  Free classes with Alex & Sammy! – You’ll get to learn Lindy Hop Swing with Alex & Sammy through group classes.  For those of you also looking to teach the dance later on, this is a great way to start and you’ll have access to lots of other world class dancers that come to teach in Hong Kong.  You’ll also be able to teach with Alex & Sammy after a 6 week course of instructor training once that time comes.

2.  Free practice sessions! – So you can learn to dance but you’ll also want to have time to practice to music.  Basically all the practice sessions we run will be available to you free of charge.

3.  Ground level entry! – You’re coming in on the ground level which means you’ll be partnered with us for your stay.  We offer an open and flexible program which allows you to have a lot of freedom in your function.  You’ll learn to work as a team and be prepared for other work if you decide to be on our staff.
